You HAVE to watch this one. Pace builds step by step to a stand up and cheer ending. Great characterization, editing, and super direction. This gets the full five!

"You cant chose who you fall in love with" BS you can if they are already married. You chose to screw around and create your own problem. What a ridiculous way of thinking and lack of self respect.

"Seeking inspiration for his latest horror novel Blake Blackman, a writer from New York, retreats to a remote cabin in the Appalachian Mountains. He is secretly accompanied by his lover Angelica Santoro a book illustrator who he's been having an affair with. She brings her dog along with them. Upon arrival they hear an amber alert on the radio and first learn about the case of several boys missing in the area. Soon after the arrive to the cabin her dog starts acting strange like there's someone or something out in the woods. A twist of fate turns the romantic interlude into an abduction-murder case when Angelica follows a lead to one of the missing boys and she mysteriously goes missing. Blake then becomes the prime suspect of her disappearance."

I am 28 minutes into this and in my opinion it is pretty slow. I'm going to give it no longer than 20 minutes and if it doesn't pick up I will bag it…just my opinion.

I just HAVE TO comment… Out in the boonies… No gun. No training. No knowledge… At least she could carry a STICK going after the dog KNOWING a person had to throw that ball back. Looks like he won't have to make anything up for his book.

    1. Burt Reynolds looks damn good in this.
    2. i always love when movies highlight the corruption and stupidity of the police.
    3. i love the fact that the not so morally sound woman Angie is not 1 dimensional, and she has a heart. Which is very realistic.
    4. I hate when people make the bad guys in movies wear black, cover their faces, or make them look a certain way in their facial features, like people who arent considered beautiful by societal standards. This movie does all 3. Thats where this movie fails. Criminals can be anyone and look like anything and act like anything.
    5. The acting sucked REALLY bad in the beginning, it stepped up after awhile but was still never exceptional.
NUMBERS 6 7 and 8 ARE SOMEWHAT OF A SPOILER:

    6. The boys would call her Angie, not the lady. Theyve known her, have been in captivity with her, have grown close to her, for 6 months. Bad writing there.
    7. I love ghost stories and horror movies, and i love the fact that Angie sees spirits and there is some interaction between the spirits and them, however it gets fucking ridiculous when the spirit closes the door to save her and stops the guy from fucking her up with the pickaxe. This isnt a horror movie, come on now.
    8. The fact that Angie doesnt consider the dogs will be sent out on the boys is pretty bad. They would have thought of that having been there for 6 months, and would have made SOME kind of a plan by then. Why? Because , during her time in captivity, Angie would have been thinking plenty about every scenario in which she can escape with the kids.

A thriller, but fantastic. All the actors were great and Mr. Burt Reynolds in rare form, simply excellent. God bless, what an amazing ending, the power of determination and, love. Thank you for uploading a poignant yet, triumph movie. Have a good weekend.πŸ‘πŸŽ

I guess West Virginia spells "Cummins" with an "M"
Could be her Mama's screen door from a house "passed down through generations."

Pretty good b movie despite sub-par acting,an abrupt 5 month time jump, and a near death that has no reasoning. I saw no life threatening injury occur.
